Virginia Howe Caldwell

Virginia Howe Caldwell, 82, of Cumming, GA (and formerly of Phelps, NY) passed into the arms of her savior on April 6, 2016.  Born in Wellesley, MA she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Howe.  Her beloved husband of 46 years, Rev. Howard Caldwell, also predeceased her.

Virginia (Jinny) earned a Master of Education and was a passionate teacher for many years in upstate New York.  She first taught junior high and later, after completing her 2^nd Masters in Library Science, she became a high school librarian at Newfield Central High School.  Jinny was very involved at Cumming First United Methodist.

She is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Chris) Hintz of Cumming, GA; grandsons, Ryan and Chase Hintz; sister, Dorothy Howe Frost of Lake George, NY; brother John Quincy (Betty) Howe, Jr. of Murray Island, NY; and a loving extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Cumming First United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
