Howard Cleo Taylor

Obituary Date: Monday, April 4, 2016

Funeral services for Howard Cleo Taylor, age 98 of Tallulah Falls will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 12:00 PMfrom the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Franklin officiating. Interment will follow the service in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morningprior to the service from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Mr. Taylor passed away Monday, April 4, 2016.

Born on October 24, 1917 in New Hope, Alabama, Mr. Taylor was the son of the late Edgar and Jenny Irene Dillworth Taylor. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during WWII and he was a retired Plant Operator with Georgia Power. He was a member of the Georgia Power Ambassadors and he was a member of Clarkesville Masonic Lodge #325 F&AM. Mr. Taylor was a avid Braves baseball fan. He was a member of Tallulah Falls Baptist Church

In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Collins Taylor, daughters Gail Taylor and Connie Dickerson, grandson Howard Dickerson, great grandson Cody Hudgins, and brother J.C. Taylor.

Survivors include daughter and son in law Annette and Bobby Welch of Dillard, granddaughter Lynn Shedd (Dennis) of Tallulah Falls, granddaughter Kim Carpenter of Dillard, grandson Andrew Welch (Jessica) of Rabun Gap, great grandchildren Shanda Hudgins (Kevin), T. J. Wilson (Kellie), Joshua Carpenter and Brendalyn Welch, great great grandchildren Brooke, Brady, and Blake Hudgins, and Carlie Wilson.
