Evelyn Cleo Peebles

    Mrs. Evelyn Cleo Peebles, age 85 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

            Graveside services are scheduled for 10am, Friday, April 1, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Mr. Robert Covington officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 2 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Peebles was born February 2, 1931 in Ft. Payne, Alabama to the late Edgar Paul Green and Lester Cleo Arthur Green.  She was retired from Gress Foods and was of the Baptist Faith.  Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great friend.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Morris Peebles, her son, Glen Lewis McAllister, her grandson, Aaron Black, her sisters, Eva Nell Bates and Cathryn Green and her brother, Ed Green.

            Mrs. Peebles is survived by her daughters, Kelly Peebles and Kim Peebles, both of Gainesville, her son & daughter-in-law, Mike & Holly McAllister of Acworth, Georgia, her sister & brother-in-law, Doris & Marvin Jordan of Atlanta, Georgia, her sister, Vi Winestein of Atlanta, Georgia, her grandchildren, Ashley Black, Lance Miller, Lex Miller, Jasmine Miller, Cheston McAllister and Cameron McAllister, great-grandchildren, Payton Rose, Braydon Black and Easton Rose, nephew, Terry Bates and numerous other relatives.
