Byron Keith Duncan, age 59, Alto, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016.
Mr. Duncan was born on August 1, 1956 in Habersham County, Georgia. He was a member of Cornelia Christian Church, where he was a member of the praise band having played the guitar and banjo. He was formerly employed with Peachtree Window and Door Company with 25 years of service. He loved gardening and trout fishing. Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Clay Duncan; and his wife, Shirley Wade Duncan.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Joyce Zimmerman Wade and Verner Wade, of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Miguel Martinez, of Gainesville; step-sons, Tim Kaminski, of Cornelia; Brian Kaminski, of Cornelia; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Tim Langford, of Colorado; brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Vanessa Duncan, of Cornelia; and granddaughter, Carmen Martinez.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Mr. David Terrell officiating. Interment will follow at Alto C.H. Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the funeral home.
