Dennis Lee Reeves, Sr.

Services are scheduled for 7pm on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Riverbend Baptist Church for Dennis Lee Reeves, Sr., age 84 of Gainesville.  Revs. Ken Grindle and Maxey Ladd will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5:30-7 pm in the sanctuary.  Mr. Reeves passed away on Wednesday night, March 23, after an extended illness.

Dennis was born in Lumpkin County and spent most of his life in Hall County.  He decided to follow Jesus and was baptized at Riverbend Baptist Church in 1995.  Dennis was a simple man devoted to the love of his life, Mary Ruth, his wife of 61 years.  He valued his precious family and friends and took great joy in serving his church.  He shared the humility and kindness of Christ with everyone he met.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Reeves; children Carole Cosgrove (Rick) and Kelly Reeves of Sandy Springs, Linda Davis (Stan) of Cumming, Lisa Rawls (Mike) and Dennis Reeves, Jr. (Valarie) and Tracy Waggoner (Frank) of Gainesville; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by grandson Ryan Symmes.
