Johanne L. Pratt

Johanne L. Pratt, 82, of Cumming, GA passed away at her home on March 11, 2016.  Born in Saugas, MA on November 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Clayton Longfellow and Pauline Whittier Longfellow.

Known as Jo by her loving family and friends, she was a graduate of South High School in Worcester, MA and attended Green Mountain Junior College in Poultney, VT.  Jo lived in Albany GA for 17 years.  She and her husband, David moved to the Cumming area in 2012.  While in Albany, she was an active member of Porterfield United Methodist Church and an avid golfer at Doublegate Country Club.  She enjoyed bridge, gardening, bird watching and world travel.

Jo is survived by her beloved husband, of 60 years, David A. Pratt, Sr, of Cumming, GA; son, David A. (Nancy) Pratt, Jr; daughters, Donna (Karl) Lynn of Snellville, GA and Lauren (Curtis) Rooker of Gainesville, GA; sister, Susan (David) Bowling of Freeport, ME; and much-loved grandsons, Clayton and Conner Pratt and granddaughters, Lauren and Allison Lynn.

A Celebration of Jo’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at North River Church of Christ, 320 Austin Avenue NE, Marietta, GA  30060.

The family would like to say special thanks to caregivers, Linda Nwaneri and son-in-law, Karl Lynn.
