Roberta “Sis” Hunter

Mrs. Roberta “Sis” Hunter, age 91, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville, with her family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., March 24, 2016 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Roger Stephens will officiate.  The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hunter was born August 4, 1924 to the late James & Nola Hunter in Gainesville.  She was a member of Timberidge Baptist Church and was retired from Pillsbury Farms.   Mrs. Hunter was also preceded in death by her husband, T.C. Butler; siblings, Marjorie Miller, Vera Mae Jones, Mattie Bryant, Mary Turner, Melvin Hunter and James Hunter.

Mrs. Hunter is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Doug & Cheryl Cobb of Gainesville; daughter, Barbara S. Brawner; 9 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; brother, Ed Hunter of Gainesville; and several nieces & nephews.
