Kathryn Lynn Poff

Miss Kathryn Lynn Poff, age 27 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Milledgeville, Georgia from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at Gainesville First Church of the Nazarene with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Miss Poff will lie in state at the church from 10:30 am - 11:00 am.  Reverend Dee & Tom Coffman, Reverend Gary Huff, and Dr. Roy Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 4 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Miss Poff was born March 16, 1989 in Roanoke, Virginia to Kent Poff and Karen Alderman Poff.  Kathryn graduated from Gainesville High School in 2007 and later graduated from The University of West Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree. After graduating she taught music at Treutlen County Elementary School, New Holland Elementary School, and Creekside Elementary School. She was a member of Gainesville First Church of the Nazarene and was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Popper & Granny Poff and maternal grandmother, Nanny Alderman.

Miss Poff is survived by her parents, Kent & Karen Poff of Gainesville, sister & brother-in-law, Sara & Blake Kytle of Gainesville, brother & sister-in-law, Jonathan & Ashley Poff of Gainesville, twin sister, Tina Poff of Gainesville, nieces & nephews, Maddie Poff, Hayden Poff and Addyson Poff, grandfather, Papaw Alderman of West Virginia, boyfriend, Eric Thompson of Macon, Georgia, a number of other relatives and her special pets, Beasley & Leroy.
