Donald Lee Payne

Mr. Donald Lee Payne, age 79 of 44 County Farm Road Extension, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A son of the late Woodrow and Catherine Shirley Payne, he was born March 1, 1937 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was employed with Tugalo Construction Company for a long number of years and late retired from Thomason Construction.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Payne in 1992.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Nell Kellar Payne of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Clinton Blalock of Buford, Georgia and Vicki and Tim Holland of Eastanollee; son, Glenn Payne of Toccoa; grandchildren, Michele and Ruso Molina, Joshua Holland, Rebecca and Jay Ramey, Malcolm Payne, Coleman Payne and Hannah Holbrooks; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Cleo Addis of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 18, 2016, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Scott Collett officiating.

The family will be at the home on County Farm Road Extension and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM. Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Marty Garrison, Jamie Myerholtz, Dillon Edwards, Dawson Edwards, Buzzy Ivester and Ruso Molina.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Donald Lee Payne.
