Donald Mitchell, age 61, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Ruth Mitchell; and sister, Deborah Mitchell Plott. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Amanda Mitchell White and husband, Chevis, Lawrenceville, GA and Allison Mitchell, Buford, GA; son, Eric Mitchell, Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Gavin Mitchell, Lucas White and Jackson Mitchell; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa Mitchell Johnsa and husband, Bill, Flowery Branch, GA; brothers, Gerry Mitchell, Buford, GA and Kenneth Mitchell, Hoschton, GA; brother-in-law, Larry Plott, Dacula, GA; aunts and uncle, Christine M. Adams, Buford, GA and Ann and Don Pass, Athens, GA; uncles and aunts, Gene and Mary Ann Wheeler, Lexington, GA, David and Ann Wheeler, Oakwood, GA and Ronnie Wheeler, Athens, GA; great aunt, Lois Cooper Mitchell, Auburn, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald was born July 25, 1954 in Buford, GA. He received his education at Dacula High School. He was an auto mechanic and he enjoyed NASCAR and was an auto enthusiast. He was a member of Hog Mountain Baptist Church in Dacula, GA. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Gaddis officiating. Interment will be in Hog Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, March 16, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
