Robert Michael (Mike) Pierce

Robert Michael “Mike” Pierce, age 57, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Friday, March 11, 2016.

Mike was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and was a member of Cavenders Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. He was employed by Koyo Bearings as a gauge technician. Mike was a member of Blue Mountain Lodge # 38 F & AM in Dahlonega. He served on the Lumpkin County Board of Education for 16 years.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Rob” Pierce and Myrtice Pierce; and his father-in-law, Sam Davis.

Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vera Pierce; sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Marisa Pierce, Brent and Stacia Pierce, Adam and Angel Pierce; grandchildren, Clayton, Kate, Lexi, Summer, and Henry; mother-in-law, Bonnell Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Jane Pierce; brother-in-law, Nelson Davis; nieces, Holly and Katie, all of Dahlonega, GA. Numerous other relatives also survive..

Funeral services for Mike are scheduled for 1 PM Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Tony Allison, and Rev. Chris Butler will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 4 PM until 9 PM, all day on Wednesday, and again on Thursday from 10 AM until service time.
