Jo Ann Nations Moore, age 71 of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016.
Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on January 24, 1945, she was a daughter of the late William Ernest, Sr. and Mary Edna Williams Nations. Mrs. Moore was a member of Stonepile Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Boston Lunch in Greenville, South Carolina where she lived for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Nations, Jr. and Carlos Nations; sister-in-law, Jean Nations; brother-in-law, J.W. Rice.
Survivors include daughter, Tarra Dean of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Tab and Teresa Dean of Alto and Todd and Brenda Dean of Clarkesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Oveline Rice of Clarkesville, Evelyn and Dewayne Forlines of Anniston, Alabama and Barbara and Ronald Mote of Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Vivian Nations of Clarkesville; sister-in-law, Lois Nations of Clarkesville; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 pm Monday, March 14, 2016, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and
Stewart with Rev. Charles Black officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
