Guy Luther Martin Jr

       Mr. Guy Luther Martin Jr. age 82 of Gainesville passed away on Tuesday March 08, 2016 at Lanier Park- New Horizons following an extended illness.

                Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday March 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Danny Freeman and Reverend Grady White will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 09, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

                Mr. Martin was born on April 03, 1933 in Jackson County, Ga to the late Guy Martin and Ibbie Robinson Martin. He was a member of East View Baptist Church and was retired from the Textile Industry. He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

                He is survived by his wife, Jean Wade Martin of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Ricky W. Martin- Laverne of Lula, grandchildren, Tyson and Easton Denton of Lula, Tiffany, Vaughan and Ivy Denton of Jefferson, son, Reggie A. Martin of Lula, grandchildren, Braxton and Brandon Martin of Lula, sisters, Christine Adams, and Estelle Gullion, brother and sister-in-law, Marvin Martin and Ann of Gainesville, sister-in-law, Vivian I, Clark of Gainesville, special niece and husband, Pam Whitmire and Teddy of Jefferson, special niece and husband, Kim Syfan and Steve of Gainesville, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
