Robert W. Vasquez

Robert W. Vasquez, 82, passed away Friday March 4, 2016.

Mr. Vasquez was born October 7, 1933 in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late William and Pauline Rose Vasquez.  He lived 30 years in Atlanta and after his retirement lived in New Smyrna Beach, Florida before moving to Dawson County.  Robert retired as Southeast Regional Administrative Manager for Unical Chemicals after over 30 years of service.  He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and attended Bethel United Methodist Church.  Mr. Vasquez was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Trump Vasquez; son Jeffery Wayne Vasquez; and a brother, Jimmy McCoy.

Surviving are his sons and daughters in law, Richard and Sandra Vasquez, Acworth, David and Carol Vasquez, Dacula; grandchildren, Ben Vasquez, Emily and Matthew Benson, Alexis Vasquez, Zach Vasquez; sister and brother in law, Frederica and Dick Whitney, Winfield, WV; brothers and sisters in law, Keith McCoy, Flemington, NJ, Thom and Susan McCoy, Manasquan, NJ, Cathy McCoy, Barnegat, NJ.

Memorial services will be held Saturday March 12, 2016 at 4 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Vasquez will then be placed in Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 3 o’clock.
