Ruth Morris Burt

Mrs. Ruth Morris Burt, age 84, of Flowery Branch passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Bob Conolty & Rev. Phil Carpenter will officiate.  The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2016 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burt was born November 29, 1931 to the late Clyde & Lenora Morris in Lacey Springs, Alabama.  She was a member of Buford Church of Christ.  She taught Business Education during her Teaching Career at South Hall from 1957-1964, Dawson County from 1965-1968 and Gwinnett County for a total of 37 years until her retirement in 2008.

Mrs. Burt is survived by her husband, Don Burt; sons & daughters-in-law, Todd & Joli Burt of Buford and Trent & Suzanne Burt of Gulf Breeze, Florida; son, Travis Burt of Hoschton; 6 grandchildren, Connor, Gavin, Lester, Avery, Chandler and Logan; great-grandchild, Leia; brother, Douglas Morris of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Elizabeth Kellet of Huntsville, Alabama and Jean Parks of Huntsville, Texas; and several nieces& nephews.
