Haskell Lee Cantrell

Haskell Lee Cantrell, 80, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Cantrell was born on October 10, 1935. He was the son of the late John M. and Nora Lee Dover Cantrell.

He was a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Cantrell retired from the Daily Times where he worked as a typesetter.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cantrell is preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Mr. Cantrell is survived by his son, John Michael Cantrell; daughter, Kara Woodham; sister and brother in law, Evelyn and Rev. David Smith of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. David Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
