Adolphus Ramey, Jr. (Junior), age 88, of Baldwin, GA passed away, Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Ramey was born February 7, 1928 in Rabun County, GA to the late Adolphus M. Ramey, Sr. and Minnie Watts Ramey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sue Ledford Ramey; brothers, Myles Watts, Jerry Ramey and Albert Ramey; sisters, Minnie Elizabeth (Lizzie) Ramey Wilson, Deles Tyler, Ruby Callenback, Ada Crone and Ella Mae Carpenter; and son, Jimmy Charles Ramey.
He is survived by his daughter, Eunice Edenfield; son, Doyle G. Ramey, both of Baldwin; grandchildren, William Doyle Edenfield, Michelle Lynn Edenfield, Joseph Wayne Edenfield, Gary Wayne Ramey and Jason Doyle Ramey; several great-grandchildren; and great-granddaughter, Stella Rae Edenfield.
Junior was a native of Rabun County and a life-long resident of Habersham County. Many people knew him to be a hard working, good man and generous to most people. Junior sold produce and hauled items to and from auctions and flea markets in his old brown truck.
No formal services will be held.
