William “Bill” Emerson Loden, Jr.

William “Bill” Emerson Loden, Jr. of Gainesville, GA passed away on February 20, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents Marjorie Davis Loden and William Emerson Loden, Sr.

 

Bill is survived by his loving wife Barbara Bradley Loden, daughter Phyllis (Larry) Morgan of St. Petersburg, FL, daughter Ginger (Brian) Garrett of Cumming and grandchildren Heather Morgan and Nicole Morgan both of St. Petersburg, FL, Phillip White of Cumming, Andrew (Julie) White of Sugar Hill, William Bradley White of Alpharetta and Adrian Burns of Cumming.

 

Bill was a man constantly on the go. He worked for Local Elevator Union #32 for 37 years. He loved gardening, deep sea fishing, hunting, tending to his bees and was most passionate about spending time with his grandchildren. Bill was Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star, active member and Past President of the Cumming Shrine Club and a member of the Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Men’s Class Sunday School at Cumming Baptist Church. He earned over 180,000 points for the Shrine putting him in the top 1% of Shriners accomplishing this feat.

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at McDonald and Son. The service will be Thursday, Feb 25th 1pm at Cumming Baptist Church, followed by interment at Sawnee View Gardens.
