Martha Hubble Doan, age 81, of Cumming, Georgia passed into God’s hands on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Martha was born on February 17, 1935 in Indiana to the late Albert and Mary Francis Hubble. She is now reunited with her love, her late husband Max Doan and precious son Terry Hanlon.
Martha’s strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of her family and friends carried her through her last days on Earth. Throughout her life, she maintained a sweet and fun demeanor that won the hearts of many, who are now being changed by their witness of her constant, nurturing love. She was known for welcoming new and old friends into her home, over-feeding everyone, her entertaining sense of humor, and dedication to her family. These memories will never be forgotten. Martha will always be our angel that lived, laughed, and loved.
Martha is survived by her children, Travis Hanlon, Myra Hanlon Daniels, Janet Hanlon Turner, and Albert Doan; her step-children, Maxie Doan, Roger Doan, and Glenna Owens. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved furry friend Benji. In addition to her husband and son, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister Peg Brown, brother John Hubble, step-daughter Gladys Zemlik, step-son Delbert Doan, and great-granddaughters Haley Sue Hanlon and Nikki Wehrheim.
Martha’s celebration of life will commence from 6:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Byars Funeral Home: 155 Professional Park Drive, Cumming, Georgia 30040.
A private family service will be held Friday, February 26, 2016.
