Mrs. Frances Evans Fortson, age 79, of Commerce passed away on Saturday evening February 20, 2016.
Mrs. Fortson was the daughter of the late Luther Beck and the late Ruth Bennett Beck and was preceded in death by her son, Charleston Evans, a sister, Virginia Crane and two loving husbands, Eddie Roe Evans and Horace Fortson.
Mrs. Fortson is survived by a daughter and her husband, Kay and Bill Brewer of Nicholson, a brother, Hoyt Beck of Homer, 4 grandchildren, Melissa and Greg Martin, Amanda Brock, Casey Evans and Chuck Evans. 8 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Services for Mrs. Fortson will be held on Tuesday, February 23. 2016 at 11AM from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening Feb. 22, 2016 from 6-8 PM.
