Mr. Charles Emmitt Scott age 83 of 91 Rocky Trail, Toccoa passed away Friday February 19, 2016 at his residence.
A son of the late Lewis W. and Lillie Sullens Scott, he was born December 28, 1932 in Stephens County where he lived all of his life. He was a veteran of the United State Army having served in the Korean War and the owner operator of Scott Brothers Construction and Scott Brothers Crushed Stone. He was a member of Toccoa Creek Baptist Church where he was a former deacon. He was a loving Father and Grandfather. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joan Carswell Scott, two brothers Clarence Scott and Robert “Bob” Scott, three sisters Eunice Poole, Helen Stowe and Evelyn Loudermilk.
Survivors include his wife Carole Posey Scott of the home, three daughters and sons-in law Janice and Guy Lowe, Renita and Jerry Powell of Toccoa, Jeannie and Kelly Moore of Sky Valley, two sons and daughter-in-law Mark and Joni Scott and Donnie Holland of Toccoa, fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law Jean Scott and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday February 21 at 2 P.M. at Toccoa Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Charles Taylor and the Reverend Joey Whitlock officiating. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lowe 164 Rocky Trail Toccoa and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M on Saturday.

The following grandsons will serve as pallbearers Rocky Scott, Dusty Scott, Dylan Scott, Scott Cheek, Colby Scott and Lance Moore.
Great-Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
