Ruby Mote passed away at her home on February 16, 2016.

She was preceded in death by two of her children, Michael Mote and Gloria Mote; two grandchildren, Ronald Brown and Alicia Mote.

She served for many years at local food banks, worked at J.D. Jewell poultry and served at several local restaurants. Mrs. Mote was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband J.C. Mote; sons and daughters in law, David and Martha Mote of Buford, Donald and Cleda Mote of Commerce, Joseph Mote of Commerce, Mark and Gretchen Mote of Dawsonville, James and Jennifer Mote of Gainesville; daughters and sons in law, Mary and Jeff Yarbrough of Cumming, Patricia Turk of Dawsonville, Brenda Hodges of Lawrenceville, Charlotte and Carl Simmons of Gainesville; brothers, William Key and Buddy Key both of Columbus; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Stacy Phillips will officiate. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
