Hattie Bell Turner Stephens

Obituary Date: Tuesday, February 16, 2016

 

            Mrs. Hattie Bell Turner Stephens, age 71 of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Majestic Nursing Home, Easley, South Carolina following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Reverend Clarence Thrower will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Stephens was born February 9, 1945 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Raymond Bell, Sr. and Jessie B. Turner Bell.  She was retired from Lanier Park Hospital and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.  Hattie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Stephens, her grandparents, Hattie Bell and Estelle Turner, her brothers Roy, Raymond Jr., Nathaniel and Joe Paul Bell.

            Mrs. Stephens is survived by her children, Evion Stephens, Reginald Wright, Tasha Turner and David (Rebecca) Stephens, Jr., grandchildren, Destiny Stephens, Latres (Carlton) King, Monica (Tracy) Mize, Willie Stephens, Jr. and LaShawn (Clancey) Stephens, sisters, Dorothy (Earl) Ivey, Jacqueline Hailey, Peggy (Raymond) Caliman, Marilyn (John) Chappelle, Eva Mae Bell, Carolyn (Alton) Ellison, Wanda (Larry) King and Donna Bell, brother, Henry (Peggy) Johnson and a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
