Betty Maerelle Daniel

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 17, 2016 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Betty Maerelle Daniel age 79 of Gainesville. The Rev. Marshall Dale will officiate. Interment will follow at Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Daniel passed away Sunday February 14, 2016.

Mrs. Daniel was born in born in Hall County to the late Garnett Thomas and Carrie Mae Griffin Thomas. She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church and Campground where she was a Sunday School Teacher and member of the Worship Committee. She had worked for Leece-Nevillee Manufacturing, was a devoted homemaker and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Daniel.

Even though she never had children of her own she was a 2nd mother to the many children she babysat and cared for.

Survivors include aunt, Carolyn Griffin, Gillsville, sister-in-law, Nellie Daniel, Gainesville and many cousins and friends.
