Harold V. Hogan, Jr., age 87 of Lawrenceville, GA died Sunday, February 7, 2016. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Susan Landry will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 10, 2016 form 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Hogan was preceded in death by his daughter Eileen Porter and grandson Jonathan Porter. He is survived by his beloved wife,  Mary Hogan, with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in May, 2016. Daughters, Deborah Kelley and husband Roy, Lawrenceville, Nancy Val Preda and husband Peter, Athens, Karen Thompson and husband Sam, Lawrenceville; Son In-law, Wayne Porter, Lawrenceville; Grandchildren, Tiffany Thompson, Ryan Kelley, Kristin Kelley, Brianna Kelley, Michael Porter, Peter Val Preda III, Aron Val Preda, Drina Miller, Amanda Thompson, Matthew Thompson; Several Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Carolyn Callan and husband Bill, FL, Connie Beck, FL; Brother, Dr. William Hogan, MD and wife Mary, FL; Several Nieces and Nephews.  Mr. Hogan was born in Alexandria, Virginia and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 50 years.  He was a retired accountant with Norfolk Southern Railroad and a member of Dacula United Methodist Church.  He gave many years of service to the Hi Hope Center in Lawrenceville and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Alexandria, VA.   Harold loved Atlanta Braves baseball and attended many games.
