Kenneth (Shorty) Gilreath, age 75 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Gilreath was born on August 16, 1940, in Cleveland, GA, to the late Lewis and Catherine Thomas Gilreath. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Gilreath.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Blalock Gilreath, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Steve Worley, Bethlehem; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Cherry Gilreath, Cleveland; grandchildren, Heath Worley, Darren Gilreath, Rene Worley, Ethan Worley; great grandson, Kason Mote; sisters, Christine Seabolt, Cleveland, Frances Jones, Demorest, Edith Stover, Cleveland, Gail Oliver, Cleveland; brothers, Earl Gilreath, Cleveland, Ernest Gilreath, Oklahoma, Neal Gilreath, Cleveland.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson, Rev. Joe Vernon, and Rev. Gary Heffner will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2-4P.M. and 6-8P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
