Mildred Sue Thomas

Mrs. Mildred Sue Thomas, age 77, of Commerce died Saturday, February 06, 2016 at Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Thomas was born in Commerce to the late, Dock and Inda Mae McElreath Ledford.  Mrs. Thomas was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church and retired from Commerce City Schools System where she worked as a paraprofessional.
    Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Odell Thomas of Commerce; daughter, Millicent Thompson (James Lanier) of Watkinsville; grandson, Jarrett Lanier Thompson; brothers, David Ledford of Carnesville, Aubrey, Frank, and Bobby Ledford all of Commerce; sisters, Bertha Williams of Flowery Branch, Paulette Delozier of Buford, Dot Wilbanks of Commerce, and Ruth Bachman of Yatesville.
    Funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 8 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. John Wood and Rev. Brent Lord officiating with the interment following at Jackson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 5-7 PM.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
