Carlton Seitz

Carlton Seitz age 95 of Dahlonega, GA passed away on February 5, 2015 surrounded by his granddaughters. He was known as PawPaw to those who loved him most and was the most soft spoken, kindhearted, hardworking man who believed in helping others.  Carlton was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching the Braves, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Coleman Seitz and Pearl Odom Seitz, his wife Austa Mae Seitz, his only child Daniel Lee Seitz, and his six brothers and two sisters.
Carlton is survived by his three granddaughters Lawanda and Chris McDougal,  Dana Mincey (Ricky Cornett), and Sheri and Chris Dover, all of Dahlonega; his three great grandchildren Krista and Carly McDougal,  and Will Mincey,  all of Dahlonega;  and numerous nieces and nephews.
PawPaw will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday February 8, 2016 at 2pm at the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville.
Family will receive friends on Sunday February 7, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 8pm.
