Betty Ruth Popham Brown

Mrs. Betty Ruth Popham Brown, age 72 of Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Erlanger Health System following a sudden illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Tony Black will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 12:00 noon - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brown was born March 30, 1943 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Chandler Popham and Flora Lee Loggins Popham.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Brown, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. 

Mrs. Brown is survived by her children, Joeann Grindle, Lavonda Meeks, Tabby Savage, all of Blairsville, Nickey Savage of Dahlonega, Steve Savage of Cleveland and Jason Savage of Cleveland, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, brother, Lee Popham of Milledgeville and sister, Ruby Savage of Gainesville.
