David Lee Ivey

    Mr. David Lee Ivey, age 73 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Braselton, following a brief illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Pastor Isaac Whitehead will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mr. Ivey was born January 24, 1943 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Boiszelle Ivey and Lillie Mae Knox Ivey.  He was retired from Hall County Board of Education and was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center.  David was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Odell Ivey and Benjamin Ivey.

            Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Carrie Bell Ivey of Gainesville, sons & daughters-in-law, Clarence & Gwen Bell, Davon & Monikka Ivey and Earand & Myndi Ivey, daughter & son-in-law, Ida “Denise” & Reverend Mark King, Grandchildren, Niesha Bell, Jessica Hawks, Shanice Bell, Erin Watson, Jaquan Clark, Jordan Simpson, De’Ja Ivey, Dawndria Bell, Amaya Ivey, Myles Ivey, Alyssa Ivey, Neriah Ivey and Siana Ivey, great-grandchildren, Damari Bell, and Carson Hawks, sisters, Maude Lena Daniels and Barbara Ann Ivey, brother, Reuben Ivey and a number of nieces and nephews.
