Bobby Joe Reed

      Mr. Bobby Joe Reed, age 79 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Bell Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Tim Reed will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

            Mr. Reed was born March 4, 1936 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Joe Reed and Grace Adams Reed.  He was retired from Crystal Farms and was of the Baptist Faith.  Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Billy Reed and Jimmy Reed.

            Mr. Reed is survived by his sons & daughters-in-law, Randall & Tammy Reed of Gainesville and Kenneth & Sherrie Reed of Foley, Alabama, grandchildren, Randa Reed, Sophie Reed, Crystal Roberts and Levi Watson, sisters & brothers-in-law, Margie & Bobby Hall and Betty & Robert Kersh, all of Gainesville, sister, Ernesteen Martin of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.

            In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital, 5901 Peachtree-Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA 30328.
