Johnny Paul Rider

Mr. Johnny Paul Rider, age 74 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.         

The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Scott and Dawn McQueen will officiate. The family will receive friends for the viewings on Friday, January 29, 2016 and Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.             

Mr. Rider was born on August 28, 1942 in Dahlonega, Georgia to the late Daniel Rider and Bertha Pierce Rider. He was a member of Lighthouse of Prayer and Was the Owner of Red Man Club. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Joey Rider, his brothers, Lee Rider, Bud Rider and Robert Rider and sister, Cleate Rider.             

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Brackett of Gainesville, daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Duane Bradley of Braselton and Cassie and Dominic Korinis of Brooksville, Florida,  sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Tonya Rider of Orlando, Florida and  Rodney and Jennifer Rider of Gainesville, son, Bradley Rider of Gainesville, 19 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren,  sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Herman Barrett,  brothers, Willie Rider, David  Rider and Jerrell Rider and sisters, Cona Stringer, Susie Gee, Alice RIder and Martha Villyard.
