Donnie J. Garrett

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Donnie J. Garrett, age 62 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Wednesday, January 27, 2016.  Mr. Garrett was born in Commerce, Georgia the son of the late L.C. and Ruby Gaddis Garrett.  Donnie was retired from Oliver Rubber Company after 28 years of service and was a Poultry Farmer.  Survivors include his wife, Emily Anthony Garrett of Jefferson, sisters, Kathy Holloway of Jefferson, Louise Chambers and Hazel Chambers both of Comer.  Brothers, Bobby Garrett of Hull and Robert Garrett of Gainesville.  Sister in law: Judy Carton of Bogart and brother in law Neal Anthony of Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 30, 2016 from the Tyrus Baptist Church currently being held at Thyatira Presbyterian Church with Reverend Bo Whisnant and Reverend Patsy Garrett Sherwood officiating with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, January 29, 2016, 6 – 9 P.M..
