William Harrison Peck

Mr. William Harrison Peck, age 85, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 following an extended illness.

Mr. Peck was born in Hall County on March 12, 1930 to parents Ferd and Florence Sears Peck. He was a former heavy equipment operator with Gainesville Stone and was of the Baptist faith. He loved animals but enjoyed coon and possum hunting in his younger years. He will be remembered for his generous, caring, and helping nature.  Mr. Peck was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alfa Sue Wehunt Peck and siblings, Clyde Peck, Henry Peck, Irvin Peck, Benjamin Peck, James Peck and Estelle Peck Loggins. He is survived by his twin daughters and sons in law; Shannoyn and Glenn Woloszyn and Sharroyn and Dale DeVore and granddaughter, Nicole Woloszyn, all of Murrayville.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dahlonega Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Anderson and Rev. Danny Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Cavender Cemetery, Claude Parks Road, Murrayville. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
