Betty Hunt Sheffield Hollingsworth

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Betty Hunt Sheffield Hollingsworth, age 91, of Cleveland. Betty was born the 9th child of Hansel H. and Martha Catherine Evans Hunt.  Betty graduated from Cleveland High School. She worked for Gainesville Silk Mill, Sears Roebuck in California and Atlanta, and  Southern Railway in Atlanta. Also Mr. and Mrs. Sheffield were the proprietors of Snug Harbor Marina in Oakwood, Georgia.

Betty was preceded in death by husbands A. Clifton Sheffield and O. F. Hollingsworth, five sisters and two brothers.

Betty is survived by her son, Gregg, her grandchildren April, Alex (Millie), and Ryan. Grandchildren Adalynn and William, her sister Pauline, 13 nieces and nephews,  and numerous cousins and friends across the United States.

Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, January 30th with the funeral service following visitation. Interment will be in Memorial Park funeral home in Gainesville.  The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Senior Ministries at First Baptist Church of Cleveland.
