Kimberly Ann Thomas Hubbard

Kimberly Anne Thomas Hubbard, 53, of Gainesville passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016.

 

A lifetime resident of Hall County, she was the daughter of James and Martha Thomas. Kimberly was a graduate of North Hall High School where she was active in chorus and cheerleading.  She was also a graduate of Lanier Tech. 

 

Kim was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church where she was choir director and worked with the Wednesday Night Warriors. She was a computer teacher at Lanier Elementary School and a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy-Gainesville.

 

Kim was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was especially devoted to Wyatt, whom she loved more than life itself.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elbert and Christine Hulsey and O.H. and Willie Thomas; uncles, Keith Hulsey, Hayne Thomas and father in law, John Hubbard.

 

Kim is survived by her husband, Steve Hubbard of Gainesville; son, Mark Hubbard of Gainesville; son and wife, Luke and Callie Hubbard of Dawsonville; grandson, Wyatt Hubbard; parents, James and Martha Thomas of Gainesville; mother in law, Barbara Hubbard of Gainesville; brothers and wives, Stephen and Denise Thomas, Matthew and Candy Thomas; sister and husband, Melody and Jerry Armour; brother in law and wife, Burt and Celeste Hubbard and many other relatives, friends and little friends who will miss her much.

 

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Cool Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Ricky Stone, Rev. Darin Cain officiating. Interment will be in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Mrs. Hubbard will lie in state at Cool Springs Baptist Church beginning at 3:30 p.m. until the service hour on Thursday. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family has asked the deacons of Cool Springs Baptist Church to serve as honorary pallbearers and please assemble at the church by 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
