Benjamin Morris Dodd

Mr. Benjamin Morris “Bud” Dodd, age 94, of Rock Road, Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at The Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
 
A son of the late Thomas Arnold and Arizonia Littleton Dodd, he was born on December 6, 1921 in Habersham County, Georgia.  He has lived in Habersham County his entire life. Mr. Dodd was a World War II, United States Army Veteran, member and a Deacon at Chopped Oak Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Genevie Dodd, by two sons, Kenneth and Morris Dodd, and by a daughter, Carolyn Ann Dodd.
 
He is survived by two daughters-in-law, Donna Dodd of Charlotte, N.C. and Beverly Dodd of Mt. Airy, grandchildren; Randy and Marsha Dodd, Tracy and Mark Davis, Jill and Jeff Jordan, and Crystal Nunnelly, and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and also by his sister, Grace Carnes of Baldwin, Ga.  
 
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016, 2:00 P.M., at The Chopped Oak Baptist Church with The Reverend Alvin Burns and The Reverend David Robertson officiating.
 
The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers and will please assemble at Acree-Davis on Monday by 1:00 p.m., Mark Dodd, Mark Davis, Shay Moore, Derrick Nicholson, Max Nunnelly, David Robertson, and Benjamin Dodd.
 
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
