Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday January 22, 2016 for Jack Edward Hewell, age 52 of Gillsville. The Rev. Bobby Ivester will officiate. Interment will follow at Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Hewell passed away Sunday January 17, 2016.
Mr. Hewell was born in South Dakota. He was employed as a truck driver for Mar-Jac Poultry. He was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church in Maysville, Lula Masonic Lodge #352 and Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Lee Hewell.
Survivors include son and fiance, Bobbie Hewell and Brittany Wilson, Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Taylor Hewell, Gainesville, mother, Bonnie Hewell, Gillsville, and brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Mary Hewell, Gillsville.
He was an avid horseman, a patriot among patriots, and never met a stranger, with a passion for helping others.
