Sandra King Ward

Sandra King Ward, 74, of Dawsonville, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016. 

Born January 13, 1942, in Atlanta, she was the daughter of Ralph and Jesse (Strickland) King.  Sandy graduated from Murphy High School.  Sandy raised her two children in Lithonia, Georgia.  She worked in the Construction Design/Consultation field and was an Administrative Assistant.  She had also worked at Chestatee Bank.

Sandy loved her pets and nature, her family and her lake home in the Dawsonville community.   Sandy was a past Chairperson of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce.  She also served as Chair of the Dawson Planning Committee.

Sandy’s beloved husband, Bob Ward, preceded her in death.  Survivors include: her Son and Daughter-in-Law; Steve and Kim Ward, Daughter and Son-in-Law; Julie and Chris Andrews, and four Grandchildren; Zack Ward, Talbot Andrews, Walker Andrews and Daisy Ward.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday January 23, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church.  Dr. Orin Sampson will officiate.
