Helen Lorene McDaniel

         Mrs. Helen Lorene McDaniel, age 86 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2016 at The Oaks of Limestone following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Dr. Chris Swan will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

            Mrs. McDaniel was born July 23, 1929 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Price Bird and Lillie Ruth Robertson Bird.  She was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Baptist Church.  Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmie Bryant McDaniel, 1 sister and 3 brothers.

            Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her daughter, Karen Swan of Murrayville, her son, Jimmie B. McDaniel of Kingswood, Texas, grandchildren, Taylor Swan of Gainesville, Lindsey & Adam Smith of Greensboro, North Carolina, Callie Swan, Alex Swan, Elisa Swan and Madison Swan, all of Murrayville and brother, Clayburn Bird of Gainesville.
