Kathleen M. Setterberg, 71, of Dawsonville passed away Monday January 11, 2016 at Gracemont Assisted Living.
Born November 17, 1944 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Joseph and Helen Prew, she had been a resident of Dawsonville for over 20 years. A very devout Catholic, Mrs. Setterberg was a member and very active in Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. She retired after 35 years of service as a registered nurse for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. An avid Poker player, she enjoyed playing in games and tournaments where she would regularly win. She also enjoyed shopping and had a great love for her family and friends. Mrs. Setterberg was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Setterberg.
Surviving are her children, Mike and Joanna Setterberg, Yelm, Washington, Alison and David Jett, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, James and Helen Prew, Illinois, John and Karen Prew, Minnesota; sister and brother in law, Michele and Michael Colias, Florida; grandchildren, Zachary Setterberg, Kaitlyn Setterberg, Haley Jett, and Lindsay Jett.
The family will receive friends on Monday January 18, 2016 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church beginning at 10 AM. A Rosary will be said at 11 AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:30. Fr. Brian Higgins will officiate.
A reception will follow the funeral mass.
Entombment services will be held Tuesday January 19, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Georgia National Cemetery.
