Katilyn Taylor Wright

Obituary Date: Tuesday, January 12, 2016

Katilyn Taylor Wright was accepted into the gates of heaven January 12, 2016.  Katilyn had been very ill and battling health conditions for well over three years.  Katilyn was born July 30, 1997 in Snellville, GA.  She was 18 years old at the time of death and resided in Cumming, GA.  Katilyn died from natural causes stemming from her chronic illness.  Katilyn attended North Forsyth High School and played basketball; she was a proud Raider.  Though her life in years measured few, the life she lived was remarkable and was an example for us all.  Katilyn's love was boundless, even during her lengthy time of illness she worried about everyone around her and how her illness affected them.  Katilyn was a fighter and through life's adversities showed her family how to truly live.  Katilyn was courageous, strong, kind to all, loving and selfless.  Even when the odds were all against her, she persevered.  She fought for every breath and every moment with her family.  She was an inspiration to many and used her relationship with God to inspire others and taught us there is hope for another day.Katilyn was a determined athlete, loving sister, daughter, granddaughter, and friend to all that she came in contact with.  Katilyn's courage taught us that life is a blessing to live to the fullest and each day a gift.

Katilyn is survived by her parents, Aaron and Angela Wright of Cumming; sisters, Ally Wright of Cumming and Alexis Wright of Texas; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Diane Lowe of Buford, GA; paternal grandmother, Patricia Wright of Cumming; aunts, uncles and cousins.  Katilyn leaves behind wonderful physicians and caregivers that extended her life, Dr. Ellie Campbell and her partner in crime, Nurse Johnny Benson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Martin officiating.  Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday and Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Revalations 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow or crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are all passed away.  Katilyn, our only peace is that you are at rest with our Lord and your pain and suffering has ended.  We love you and you will be forever in our hearts.
