Dorothy Lee Collett Bates

Funeral services for Dorothy Lee Collett Bates, age 82, of Sautee will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM from Hillside Memorial Chapel with Dr. Don Drawdy, Rev. Randall Cagle and Rev. Edward Cagle officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Sautee Nacoochee.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 14. 2016 from 2:00 PM until 4:00PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Bates passed away January 12, 2016.

Born September 17, 1932, Mrs. Bates was the daughter of the late Dewey and Florence Phillips Collett.  Mrs. Bates was a homemaker and chicken farmer.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Garland and Roger Collett and sister Barbara Collett.

Mrs. Bates is survived by husband Henry Bates of Sautee; son and daughter in law Ricky and Marcia Bates of Clarkesville; daughter Tina Arnold and friend Jim Brantley of Clarkesville; three grandchildren Dustin and wife Jade Bates, Kelly Bates and Julian and wife Cara Arnold; great grandson Adam Bates; brother Mark Collett of Cumming; sister Padge Reese of Dawsonville; sister in law Grace Collette of Dawsonville.
