Henry Grover Carlyle Jr.

Mr. Henry Grover Carlyle Jr., age 86, of Bowersville, Ga passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Gary McCurley, Reverend Ruel Martin, and Reverend Gerald Blackburn will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Carlyle was born on September 26, 1929 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Henry Carlyle Sr. and Reatha Land Carlyle. He was a member of Old Canon Baptist Church and worked for Temp Glass Company. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gene Carlyle. 

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Carlyle of Bowersville, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Billy Chadwick of Bowersville, son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Cheryl Carlyle of Bowersville, grandson and wife, Luke and Meisha Roper of Gainesville, grandson and wife, Ron and Tosha Roper of Bowersville, granddaughter and husband, Stacy and Daniel Martin of Canon, grandsons, Cody Carlyle of Bowersville, Colt Carlyle of Bowersville, step-grandchildren, Heidi and Zack Parker of Buford, and Hope Chadwick of Cumming,  great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Leigha Roper, Tucker Roper , Karysn, Levi, and Sadie Martin, Heather and Carmen Patterson, and niece, Tina Badalemente, and a number of nieces and nephews.
