Mack Sarfaty, age 88, of Tucker, Georgia, died on January 9, 2016. He was born in Tampa, Florida on June 1, 1927 to the late Victoria and Jack Sarfaty.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Evanne Clore Sarfaty, son Jack (Kim) Sarfaty and their children Katie, Matthew and Michael of Cumming, GA and his daughter Paula Chandler and her son Tyler Whitley of Snellville, GA.
Mack volunteered for the US Navy in 1943 as a 17-year old and served a Pacific tour during World War II that would take him to places like China, Japan, and Taiwan. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, Mack worked at the United Nations in San Francisco, California. Beginning in 1952, Mack began a career at the Atlanta Gas Light Company that would span 40 years. In retirement, Mack continued his most-cherished duties as a doting husband, father, and grandfather of four children.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13th from 11am until Noon, followed by his service at noon. A graveside service will follow at Georgia National at 2:00pm.
