Charlotte Genevieve Jones

Charlotte Genevieve Jones was born on April 4, 1920 in Vincennes, Indiana to the late John and Nellie Volz.

 (Her friends called her Geny). Geny and her family moved to Memphis, Tennessee when she was a child. Geny graduated from Humes High School in Memphis. While attending Humes she met her future husband Jewel Wayne Jones and they married shortly after graduation.

Five year later they welcomed their only child – a daughter, Beverly Nell Jones.  Geny and Jewel Wayne were married 40 years upon his death in 1978.

After Jewel Wayne died Geny moved to Alabaster, Alabama and then to Cumming, GA to be close to her daughter and her family.

In addition to the daughter Beverly and her husband, Robert Echols, Geny was blessed with two granddaughters, Deborah Echols Matthews of Frisco, Texas and Angela Echols Rockett of Alabaster, Alabama and 5 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Memorial Park in Memphis, Tennessee.
