Gary A. Grizzle, age 66, of Cumming passed away peacefully Thursday, January 7, 2016 surrounded by his loving family and many friends. A life-long resident of Forsyth County, Gary was born March 14, 1949 on his way to the old Mary Alice Hospital to the late Otis and Mamie Grizzle. A man who could build and fix anything, Gary was loved by his family and everyone who ever met him.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Jan Grizzle of Cumming; children, Shelly Seabolt of Dawsonville, Angie Frady of Gainesville, Gary (Modesta) Grizzle of Austin, TX, Traci (John) Coyne of Cornelia, Amy (David) Dingler of Gainesville; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Cecil (Wynelle) Grizzle, Scott (Cathy) Grizzle; sisters, Joan (Tony) Bruce, Jean (Wes) Cloud, Sharon Brown; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 10, at 2:00 p.m. at Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Pruitt, Rev. Rodney Pilcher and Rev. Lamar Day officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
