Eleanor P. Wellborn Thomas

       Mrs. Eleanor P. Wellborn Thomas age 72 of Fairburn, Ga passed away on Wednesday January 06, 2016 at Fairburn Nursing Home following a brief illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday January 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Rock Hill Church Cemetery. Reverend Larry Olson and Reverend Dwayne Wellborn will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday January 8, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Thomas was born on October 16, 1943 in Goodhope, Georgia to the late Herbert Wellborn and Annie Ivey Wellborn. She retired from DeKalb County School System where she served as a teacher. She is preceded in death by her parents.

            She is survived by her husband, Rev. Dewayne Thomas of Fairburn, sister and brother-in-law, Judy Diane and Dr. Jim Baxter of Valdosta, brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Dewey and Elaine Thomas of Gainesville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
