Albert Willis

Mr. Albert Gene “Sonny” Willis was born on October 25, 1940 in Wilkes County, Georgia.  He later moved to Gainesville, GA and married Josienell Stephens.  He later married Dolly Harris who continued to be a lifelong friend.  Albert Willis retired from Hall County fireman department Station No. 7 where he served an extensive number of years.  He attended St. John Baptist Church as a dedicated member who truly loved the Lord and served as an usher for many years.

Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his youngest daughter Yonah Harvey Cheely of Jacksonville, Florida, his parents Robert James Willis Sr. and Callie Mae Willis.

He leaves to cherish his memories three sons and one daughter: Trent Willis, Troy (Cynthia) Willis both of Gainesville, GA, Quentin (Erica) Willis from Crestview, Florida, Venetia (Willie) Willis Cash, six sisters: Ms. Elizabeth Maddox, his twin sister Mrs. Alma (Leroy) Harper, Mrs. Betty (Billy) Waller, Mrs. Marion (Jerry) Thurmond all of Gainesville, GA. eleven grandchildren: Meshondra(Quinn), Monika, Elbony, Shanna, Destinee, Keandra, Keyon, Kekey, Arness, Clarence, Tyrone, and Lashound, twenty-eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home.
