Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Eldon Linburg Collis, age 58 of Maysville, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday, January 2, 2015. Mr. Collis was born in Melbourne, Florida, a son of the late Robert Collis and Marie Goss Collis of Maysville, Georgia, was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Dry Pond United Methodist Church. In addition to his father, Mr. Collis is preceded by a brother; Spencer Collis and his wife Sheree Stewart Collis.
Survivors include a son, Brandon Collis of Comer, two daughters; Candice Collis of Comer, and Tracy Collis of Maysville. Two sisters; Regina Collis Wheeler of Jefferson and Lita Elliott of Jefferson. Two brothers; Robert Jackson Collis of Lilburn and Ben Collis of Maysville. One granddaughter, Ava Swain of Commerce, one step granddaughter, one step grandson. Special friend Linda Alford of Comer and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, January 3, 2016 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Payne officiating. A family burial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 4, 2016 in the Dry Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, January 3, 2016, 2 – 4 P.M. prior to the service time.
